Little Sugar Addicts

About

Little Sugar Addicts was written by Kathleen DesMaisons, Ph.D.Her first book Potatoes Not Prozac outlined the concept of sugar sensitivity and offered 7 steps to address sugar addiction in adults. She wrote Little Sugar Addicts to help parents deal with their sugar sensitive children.

When parents started to learn how to make the changes with their children, incredible things happened. Children's bodies are far more responsive to dietary changes than adult bodies are. They bounce back for quickly from the depleting effects of sugar, They want to heal and flourish. Once the process takes hold and the child buys into the relationship between food and feelings, and between food and behavior, there is no stopping.

A child's natural curiosity and excitement about making connections is a powerful ally in the process. We discovered that the key to kids changing their food is not having the parents make them change but having the kids experience the relationship between what they eat and how they feel.

The biochemical solution of this plan is incredibly simple.Changing the food can give you back your sweet and loving child.
